It's been a while—429 days to be exact—since our last edition. Basically, what started as a quick break turned into a sabbatical and thereafter a gap year.

But enough about that. As you may have guessed from the subject line, we’re back … but with a slight twist. So with your approval, here’s how the new MorningBru will be:

We will no longer be a daily newsletter. Instead, to provide a higher quality of content, we will publish once a week on Fridays at 8 AM - Starting 16 August. With this shift, our content will change from daily news to a weekly wrap-up style.

Even though we’re not daily anymore, you won’t be getting less content. In fact, we’re adding a few new sections to the newsletter, so here is how your weekly publish will look:

1. Top stories: One-liners of the top news stories from the week covering both general South African news and finance/ business stories.

2. Market View: After a long wait, we will be adding this section which will give a snapshot of key market indicators.

3. Gamification: We are working on making the newsletter more fun and engaging by incorporating some gamification. We are still working on the details of this but will keep you updated.

4. The Daily Joke: Yes, one of our most loved parts will remain.

But most importantly, we are super excited to be back and we look forward to this new chapter with you.
